Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SpoolDeck (“SpoolDeck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and our print-production software (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information
When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address, and any details you add about your shop, printers, products, and orders. This information is necessary to give you access to the Service and to store your work.
Usage data
We collect information about how the Service is used — for example, pages viewed, features used, and technical details such as your browser type, device, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the Service to function and to remember your preferences. See “Cookies” below for detail.
The region-preference cookie
Our website can show pricing and content tailored to your region. When you choose a region, or when we infer one from your connection, we store a small preference cookie (named geo_pref) in your browser. Its only purpose is to remember that choice so you aren’t redirected on every visit. It contains a simple region value, not personal information, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
- To store and process the shop, product, and order data you enter.
- To handle billing and subscriptions when billing is enabled.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
Service providers and infrastructure
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service — for example, cloud hosting and backend processing providers that store data and run our application on our behalf. These providers may process your information only as needed to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.
When billing is enabled, payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. In that case, your payment details are provided directly to that processor and handled under its terms; we do not store full payment-card numbers ourselves.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential and preference cookies — those required for the Service to work and to remember choices such as your region. We also use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used, which sets analytics cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; you can opt out through your browser or Google’s tools.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain certain records to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address issues promptly if they arise.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update most of your account information directly in the Service. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond to reasonable requests and may need to verify your identity first.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above, and significant changes will be made clear on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
